
David Burch CLU®, ChFC®
With over 52 years of experience in the financial services industry, David Burch founded Lighthouse Financial Advisors in 2006, after holding leadership positions at companies such as Mutual of New York, Lincoln Financial Advisors, and Peachtree Planning Corporation.
During his 34 years at these companies, David focused on recruiting, coaching, and training financial advisors. These skills were instrumental in helping David build a strong team at Lighthouse Financial Advisors, LLC, where they work to provide exceptional service to clients.
David graduated from the University of Georgia in 1973 with a Bachelor's Degree in Risk Management and Insurance, along with a minor in Management. He is also a graduate of LIMRA’s Sales Management School and the Agency Management Training Course. To continue his professional development, David attended The American College of Financial Services in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania, where he earned his Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) designation in 1983 and Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) designation in 1998.
David is an active member of Saint Simons Island Presbyterian Church, having served as both a Deacon and Elder. He is also a member of several prestigious organizations, including the Sea Island Golf Club, Brunswick Country Club, University of Georgia President’s Club, Heritage Society, and the Terry College of Business Emeritus Board of Directors. Locally, David has contributed to the Coastal College of Georgia’s Board of Trustees. He and his wife, Terri, have two children, Mackey and Bennett.
When not serving clients, David enjoys traveling with Terri, as well as duck and quail hunting, red fishing, playing golf, and savoring the beauty of Coastal Georgia.
